Sanitary standard for drinking water

1 Scope
This standard specifies requirements for drinking water quality, health related requirements and test of water quality.

This standard is applicable to all types of centralized water supply of urban and rural drinking water, is also suitable for decentralized water supply of drinking water.

The clauses in the following documents by the standard reference in the provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding Corrigendum contents) or revisions do not apply to this standard, however, encourage the parties to reach an agreement on the new version according to the standard whether can use these files. For undated references, the latest edition is suitable for this standard.

3 terms and definitions
3.1 drinking water: drinking water and living water.
3.2 water supply mode
3.2.1 centralized water supply: from the source of centralized water, through water distribution pipe network to the centralized water supply mode of the user or public water points. Provide drinking water for users daily water supply station and public places, residents of the community to provide quality water also belong to the centralized water supply.

3.2.1.1 self built water supply: by the units or individual construction and mainly occupied water supply mode.

3.2.1.2 two water supply: the centralized water supply in the home before re storage, compression and disinfection or depth of processing, delivery to the user through the pipeline water supply mode.

3.2.1.3 small rural centralized water supply: the daily water supply in the 1000m3 below (or water supply population of 10000 people in the following) of rural centralized water supply, centralized water supply mode and public water points.

3.2.2 decentralized water supply: the user directly from the source of water, without any facilities or only simple facilities supply mode.

3.3 regular inspection items: can generally reflect the water quality, high detected frequency inspection items.

3.4 non regular testing project: according to the needs of area, time or special circumstances of the inspection items.

4 drinking water quality requirements

The water quality of drinking water should meet the following basic requirements to ensure drinking safety for users.

4.1 drinking water shall not contain pathogenic microorganisms.

4.2 chemical substances harmful to the health of drinking water shall not be harmful to human health.

4.3 drinking water by radioactive substances exceeding the limit value, should be the nuclide analysis and evaluation, determine whether or not drinking.

The sensory characteristics of 4.4 drinking water to the user can accept shall prevail. This standard is listed the sensory index limits, said good water quality sensory properties.

Disinfected drinking water should be 4.5, in order to ensure compliance with the requirements of this standard microbiological index. Centralized water supply factory water disinfectants should not exceed the limit value, but should have the appropriate allowance; user and tap water by water disinfectant should also meet the requirements.

4.6 drinking water quality shall comply with table 1, table 2 and table 3 requirements.

4.7 small rural centralized and decentralized water supply because of constraints cannot make water quality fully comply with table 1, table 2 and table 3 of part of the project, in accordance with the requirements in Table 4 executive.

5 drinking water quality and health requirements

5.1 the use of surface water as drinking water sources in accordance with the centralized GB 3838 executive.

5.2 use of groundwater for drinking water according to the GB/T 14848 implementation.

6 centralized water supply units hygiene requirements

6.1 centralized water supply units hygiene requirements in accordance with the "Hygienic standard for drinking water" centralized water supply unit of execution.

7 two water supply hygiene requirements

7.1 two water supply facilities and treatment in accordance with the requirements of GB 17051 implementation.

The 8 relates to drinking water hygiene and safety products hygiene requirements

8.1 treatment of drinking water by coagulation and coagulation, disinfection, oxidation, pH regulation, anti rust, scale and other chemical treating agents should not be polluted drinking water, and meet the requirements of GB/T 17218.

Detection and evaluation of 9 water quality

The 9.1 water supply unit water quality detection

9.1.1 water supply units testing frequency, non regular testing project selection by the competent departments at the county water supply agreed jointly with the local health administrative department at County level.

Water quality detection of 9.2 health supervision

9.2.2 occurs when the water accident, waterborne infectious disease outbreaks and other emergencies, by the health administrative departments at all levels to determine the monitoring scheme according to the need of supervision.

9.2.3 health supervision of water quality detection range, items, frequency is determined by the local health administrative departments at the provincial level.
